A while back when TikTok first started to gain a following, I heard of it’s security flaws. It appears the hit app is still battling those flaws. Some who have already banned TikTok are:
- The Government of India
- the U.S. Military
- Wells Fargo (they already have enough issues!)
- TSA
- And more!
Seeing an opening in an area proven to be highly attractive, Facebook owned Instagram has launched Instagram Reels. The new product is directly embedded in Instagram, making it a flawless release to the 1+ Billion Instagram users. Reels allows users to create 15-second videos using the editing tools that are embedded in the Instagram camera. It includes a large library of music and differs from TikTok with Instagram’s Augmented Reality (AR) features.
One thing to keep in mind is Reels competing with a TikTok that is banned in the U.S. is entirely different from Reels competing with a Microsoft owned TikTok. We can’t wait to see how this plays out!
Are you excited for Instagram Reels? Will you be an early adopter of the new feature or will you wait to see how other adopt it?
